FAQs

Membership

How long does the membership last?

This is an annual membership and lasts one year from the date of purchase.

How do I renew my membership?

You will begin receiving renewal emails 30 days before the expiration of your membership. You will need to purchase a new year of membership to continue receiving access to the trainings, platform, and resources.

Is this a membership for myself, or for my entire organization?

These are individual memberships, not organizational. We’ve set up the professional developments, trainings, and online platform to be a space for like-minded people to connect and grow together.

Can my organization purchase memberships for our staff?

Yes! And we will give you a discount if you purchase five or more memberships for your staff. However, we want you to see this as a professional development investment in your staff member. In that light, the annual membership(s) that you purchase cannot be transferred to another staff member or cancelled if the person leaves your organization.

What do my membership fees go towards?

Membership fees allow Laureus USA to provide the best possible trainings, resources and connections to experts and organizations in the youth development field.

How does the Sport for Good League support Laureus USA’s grant-making and collective impact work?

Laureus USA takes a holistic approach to building capacity in cities. Our association, or “League”, is one pillar of that work. The Sport for Good League addresses two primary needs that we observe:

  1. Lack of opportunities for cross-sector and cross-function networking within the youth sports sector.
  2. Lack of opportunities for low-cost, high-quality training and professional development.

We believe that addressing these two needs will further strengthen the work that we do in grant-making and organizational collective impact.

Will having members from my staff impact my organization’s chances to receive funding?

Laureus values a collective approach to community impact, and takes that value into account when making funding decisions. We believe that having active members in the League is one way for an organization to show that commitment to collaboration, but it is not the only way.  If you are writing an application and are not involved with our league or collective impact programming, be sure to demonstrate your commitment to collaboration in other ways.
